Permalink Reply by Roberto Kaplan on September 23, 2011 at 3:26 Greetings Jo. Thanks for your participation. I am pleased that the floater part of your concern has been taken care of. Flashing lights can from a normal medical point of view be potentially a sign of a serious problem with the retina and or vitreous. That is, make sure you get a medical opinion first before trying complimentary methods. I tell my clients to always get a baseline medical opinion so that we know what we are working with. In the case of high myopia, the retina can be stretched and thin. The vitreous can tear away. Once you have the medical diagnosis, then you can begin the EyeCode® process.
This will include the following:
i) Deal with fears you may have in hurting your eyes any further or even going blind.
ii) Do you provide the right food for your eyes, especially for nearsightedness.
iii) Are you incorporating relaxing eye practices during the day when you are studying?
iv) Look into using colour balancing as a way to build resilience and healing for the retina and vitreous.
v) Consider having a personal coaching session to gain new awareness of your unique EyeCode®
So keep us informed. All the best, Roberto

Permalink Reply by Janet L. Herbst on September 23, 2011 at 9:31 Dr. Kaplan, I am farsighted with some astigmatism in OD. I too have flashing lights in both eyes and floaters that get in the way. The doctor said nothing can be done with my conditions. I find it difficult to see sometimes with floaters in the way. How can I get rid of the floaters? I noticed your information was for nearsightedness and flashing lights, what about farsightedness? I have been practicing seeing without glasses. I used to be a 3.00+ and now down to 1:00 + which is not stable. I assume Lyme disease attacked my eyes and caused problems. My eyes also water a lot which also makes it difficult to see.
What can I do with the floaters and flashing lights?

I'm glad you're going to have a retina specialist check into your flashing lights. When you made the appointment, did you tell them about the flashing lights? Did they ask if there are any dark areas? If they did ask and there are no dark areas, then please forgive my alarmist questions. If there are, please get checked right away. Best wishes, Marcia

Permalink Reply by Roberto Kaplan on September 24, 2011 at 3:33 Thank you very much, Roberto for the prompt response. Would you please explain color balancing? I am very interested in that. I do try to rest my eyes throughout the day. I made an Appt. with a retinal specialist for October. What would the personal coaching session entail? I look forward to hearing from you! Jo
