If there is a tendency for things in nature to be circular in shape, or, if appearing lined, not straight, why is society so boxed in it's thinking, acting and reacting?

Is it possible that thinking perceptions actually form a kind of boxed effect. I recall Rudolph Steiner's exhibit about his life where squared shapes included rounded edges, thus providing a continuous flowing feeling effect.
