An Optometric colleague, author and expert in Behavioural Vision, Dr. Steve Gallop, just published a super article on
lens prescriptions for improving visual function. He talks about compensating and therapeutic lenses, something that is vitally part of the EyeCode® process of reintegrating clear perceptions. You can download his article from this link.
It may take a while to download, but…

A question I am often confronted with. Last week, I had the possibility to test this on my own son. He developed extreme redness in his right eye. Returning from a school trip abroad, the condition become worse. I requested a long distance photographic diagnosis from an Ophthalmological colleague, pinguecula with a inclusion of a herpes infection.
A family decision was made to conduct an experiment. We would test using a frequency energetic natural anti biotic healing approach before…

"Eyesight markedly improved when people were experimentally induced to believe that they could see especially well, Langer and her colleagues report in the April Psychological Science. Such expectations actually enhanced visual clarity, rather than simply making volunteers more alert or motivated to focus on objects, they assert."
"Langer’s new findings build on long-standing evidence that visual perception depends not just on relaying information from the eyes to the brain…

It is not surprising to my patients and clients in using a holistic approach to eye and vision problems that we consider the whole life of the person. Seeing and perception is helped when we ask the person in what part of their life is their unfinished business. Another way of saying this is: "Where do you have problems in your life?" It can be in perceptions of people and their family, relationships, work and career, and even in sexuality. Over the years I have found a strong…

Sometimes when I am on the road or do not carry my big camera with me, I use my iPhone 4 to take pictures of the Iris.
I place a magnifier with a light over the lens of the camera. This serves two purposes. One, there is enough light to capture a good photo and secondly, enough magnification to provide sharpness without loss of detail due to pixelation.
Here are some photos that illustrate the…

Interesting, as I discovered that I ate much less including sweets (hardly!) during my first week of vacation at Roberts Creek in mid-July. Would you like to know why? Are you sure? Are you ready for the answer? It may shock and surprise you, or not.
It was this: it was simply due to the fact that I felt fulfilled. That’s right. Full-filled or filled full or fully filled. My soul and thus…

In a recent article, former graduate student colleague of mine, Dr. Earl Smith, posted some very interesting research he has been involved in. Nothing really new for us behavioural Optometrists interested in prevention of myopia techniques. But a worthwhile scientific validation.
