10 Healthy Things You can do for your EYES in 2012

In the beginning of the new year it is time to contemplate your health. In this case, your eyes! How can you better take care of them this next year. I have gathered the most healthy things you can do for your eyes and listed them below. If you are on my normal mailing list, you will  have received a copy of this. But, it can never hurt to read it again.  Have happy eyes this year and keep them healthy!
1.     Relationship with Light 

Go outside three times per day - As you leave your front door, look up into the sky. Take a full breath and imagine air traveling into your eyes and cleansing them........................More


2.     Broad Focus 

While reading  or working on a computer, every 20 minutes look up and broaden your view as watch some distance scene, like through a window for 5 to 10 breaths....................More


3.     Your Glasses

Like shoes, if they don’t fit properly, strong lens prescriptions can increase the stress of focusing your two eyes together, resulting in unhealthy tension. If your glasses are designed for far looking, get a modified pair of close work and computer looking.........More


4.       Eating

Increase your daily intake of green and root vegetables. Instead of junk food, carry a zip lock bag full of sunflower and pumpkin seed, almonds and unsweetened raisons........More


5.       Movement

Every 60 minutes of desk or computer work, stand up and let your body and arms swing back and forth, while keep your eyes closed for between 10 and 30 breaths. Then gently roll your head and neck in circular motions for 5 to 10 breaths......................................More

In safe places, outdoors in natural light, take off your glasses and bathe your eyes. Visualise all the parts of your eyes being healthy and revitalised...................................More

Thanks Roberto for the tips!  Love it and will try more to implement them as I haven't been for the past number of months...oh dear!
